China. India. Kenya. Sri Lanka. Vietnam. Turkey. Iran. Indonesia. Argentina. Japan. This is a list of the 10 leading tea producing countries in the world, ranked in order of volume production. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, anything not on that list is considered "insignificant". So where does Portugal rank? Probably somewhere on the very bottom, if not dead least. But we're talking production volume. Not quality. And if you're the kind of person that prefers quality over quantity, then you've come to the right place.
It's not that you can't find quality teas in Asia, but you won't find Teazorean tea. This tea is unique. Unique in a sense that you wouldn't have guessed that a tiny island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean roughly 1,500km off the coast of Portugal, existed - let alone produced tea. It is versatile enough to be a beginners tea and also be admired by the tea connoisseur among us.
Our goal is to bring this gem to the Western world, and teach you about the wonders that the islands of Portugal bring. Currently, Teazorean is the only Canadian tea business specializing in the island tea. We hope to bring awareness not only to this wonderful delight in the tea world but also to marine conservation.
